My passions shape my work. From food to inclusivity, I believe in creating a better future for all.
My journey into food began when I travelled coast to coast across Canada, visiting and working on farms that varied from small homesteads to ranches spanning thousands of acres. This journey sparked a passion in me to learn more and connect with where my food comes from, and I have spent the last eight years working in the local food and farming sector. Through my project coordination work and my writing, I am passionate about creating a sustainable food future.
More recently I have begun working on issues of inclusion in the outdoors, specifically plus size inclusivity. This stems from my personal experience of struggling to find clothing and kit that fits my plus size body and enables me to feel comfortable and safe in the outdoors. As part of this work, I co-founded Every Body Outdoors, and have gone on to write articles about my experiences and the issues the community face.
